He attended medical school at The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham (UAB) followed by an ophthalmology residency and subsequent fellowship in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston.Dr. Allison began practicing as a vitreo-retinal specialist in 2008 after finishing his fellowship. He specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, retinal detachments, macular holes, epi-retinal membranes and vitreous hemorrhages."
