He is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine and completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the Institute of Living of Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Walmer completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the division of Law and Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine. As a forensic expert, Dr. Walmer has performed evaluations in both criminal and civil contexts and has appeared as an expert witness in a variety of courts. In addition to Rocky Mountain Forensic Psychiatry, PLLC, Dr. Walmer is a Staff Psychiatrist at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado where he is also the Medical Director of Consultation-Liaison and Adult Inpatient Psychiatry. He also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Walmer travels across the country or internationally and will become licensed in your jurisdiction if needed."
