I can’t really say how Dr. Smith was because I only saw his P.A., Jerry, on this visit. Jerry is good - I am a returning patient who hadn’t been in for a couple of years, so I knew I might not see Dr. Smith, but if I didn’t already know this, I would be upset that I never saw the doctor. And I was a little bit surprised that I didn’t actually see the doctor since it’s been awhile, so for that reason I can’t really give a high rating.

I was misdiagnosed and tried to correct it as soon as possible but the doctor refused to correct it until i filed a complaint .Then he corrects it. After the investigation, he released me and abandoned me for continued care. The advocate transferred me to another doctor so that i could continue care due to abrupt dismissal of service.

Dr Smith was my 2nd opinion on a knee injury after I received horrible care elsewhere. Both Dr Smith & his PA Jerry were good listeners, thorough, didn’t stop with one issue kept looking for a secondary issue when my pain didn’t match a ‘textbook example’ of one thing. In minutes they had the main problem diagnosed, explained with easy treatment options. Dr Smith came in a final time to make sure I agreed with the diagnosis & explain the other issue (arthritis) & options down the road. I am so thankful for the excellent care & kindness they both displayed as well as their detailed approach & ease sharing the information casually— so that it’s not just medical jargon.

Second time I have visited with Dr Smith and he always makes me feel understood as to my needs. He is quick thorough and gives great advice. I am athletic and don’t want to be just told take 10 weeks off come back to see me. Highly recommend him to any athletes needing to be evaluated.

I have never met a more arrogant, callous physician in my life. He does not listen nor hear what his patients are telling him. He is very judgmental and makes incorrect assumptions about his patients. This affects the quality of care delivered and leaves his patients suffering.

I have always had 5-star experiences at Texas Orthopedics Round Rock and it continues to be so! FRONT ARENA PROFESSIONALS: because I needed to schedule multiple specialties appointments, I visited the office earlier in the week and was warmly welcomed and then flawlessly assisted by front arena professional ERICA! Then, and later at my two-days of appointments, I met and interacted with ANGIE, DANIELLA, MARQUIA! All of these Texas Orthopedics Round Rock front arena folks were unfalteringly friendly, accommodating and great communicators! ERICA, X-Ray expert, was delightful and communicated patiently as she expertly facilitated my many x-rays! MY DOCTOR: For my knees & hips concerns my appointment was with “general orthopedics and sports medicine specialist” surgeon DR. SCOTT SMITH, who possesses a warm demeanor, highly intuitive listener and communicator who addressed my concerns excellently. This is a practice with exceptional surgical skills in tandem with exceptional people skills!

Dr. Smith told me quite a few things that I agree with. I don't think I'll be back because I went to him for a second opinion and he didn't even look at my knee. If he looked at my exrays he didn't tell me.

Excellent. This is my third procedure with Dr. Smith; he did two partial knees, and now a total shoulder. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Dr. Smith handled my case professionally, expeditiously and compassionately. My experience tells me that Dr. Smith is an exemplary surgeon. That view was expressed by every nurse on my ward at Cedar Park Regional when I identified my surgeon. I would return to Dr. smith without hesitation should I need further orthopedic care.
