Scott D. Karr, M.D., is medical director of Foot & AnkleONE and is the first surgeon in the region to offer the groundbreaking INBONE™ Total Ankle procedure developed by Wright Medical Technology. The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, native graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in physiology in 1977. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine, Ann Arbor. Following a transitional internship at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Dr. Karr completed his residency in that organization's orthopaedic surgery program in 1986. In addition, he was selected as the program's chief resident in his final year. Possessing an avid interest in the subspecialty of orthopaedic foot and ankle problems, Dr. Karr has honed his skills through extensive study at many of the leading medical centers throughout the United States. Dr. Karr is actively involved in his field, retaining memberships with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Indiana Orthopaedic Society, the Fort Wayne Orthopaedic Society, the Fort Wayne Medical Society, and the Indiana State Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Karr is Chairman of the Tri-State Medical Group. He is also an assistant professor in the department of orthopaedic surgery at the Indiana University Medical School Fort Wayne Center for Medical Education. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
