Very likeable and relatable. Was very thorough and answered every question I thought I needed to ask, all the while never making me feel I was annoying. Holly was there as well, and exhibited all the same great qualities.

I have issues with my back and hands and it has been a struggle to pin point a starting point. I started to feel hopeless when I became unable to use my creAtive hands around the house so finally I did some tests and went to see dr Burgess. He was so professional, kind, patient and most important, he made me feel important. He gave me my hope back. I have a lot of work to do to be functioning the way I want but his desk side manner was just the lift I needed. He's down to earth. He's very comfortable, like a friend. Thank you Dr Burgess for giving me back some faith in doctors and in my life.

An exhausted on-call trauma center surgeon did my first elbow surgery. I hand picked Dr. Burgess for my second. After meeting with him and reading his curriculum vitae, I was confident that Dr. Burgess had the skill and expertise to address complications that arose from a severe elbow injury, and restore critical range of motion and function to my dominant arm. He did just that. Dr. Burgess has the right mix of professionalism and wit. His staff is well trained and his office is comfortable. I also appreciated not having to walk into a bug filled hospital for surgery. It was definitely worth the drive to Grand Rapids. The only downside wasn't his fault. State law won't let docs call in opiate scripts anymore. So I had to drive 72 miles to pick up a pain pill refill which was a pain in itself.
