TLC HealthCare™ Wound Specialists, in conjunction with the Wound Care Center at Northwest Hospital, utilizes best practices for effective wound treatment and management. Clinicians focus on pressure ulcers, vascular ulcers and diabetic wounds, along with chronic or palliative, non-healing wounds. The individual needs and goals of each patient are considered in determining the course of treatment.
Dr. Bolhack speaks nationally on the subject of wound care, telemedicine, palliative care and hospice, rehabilitation in nursing homes, and quality improvement processes. Dr. Bolhack has additional experience as a medical director for wound centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, and home health agencies. He has presented over 30 scientific posters in the areas of wound care, quality improvement, and post-hospital care. He is a thought-leader in the transition of care across the continuum, especially as it relates to wound care services. He has also volunteered his services in wound care internationally working with the underserved in Chiapas, Mexico.
Dr. Bolhack earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bucknell University, his Doctor of Medicine from the Health Sciences Center of Brooklyn, and his Masters in Business Administration from the Eller College at the University of Arizona. He is board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. He has additional credentials as a Certified Wound Specialist and a Certified Medical Director in long-term care.
