Board certification should be one of your top considerations when choosing a doctor. Board certification is an official recognition given to doctors who have met specific requirements set by national medical specialty boards in the United States.
Board certification indicates that a doctor is highly qualified in the medical field in which he or she practices. A board-certified doctor is more likely than a non-board-certified doctor to have the most current skills and knowledge about how to treat your medical condition.
Hospice Care and Palliative Medicine
Our team of clinicians are confident that we can successfully treat and manage your wounds and the underlying condition that may have caused them. We regularly treat wounds due to venous stasis, diabetes mellitus, pressure, arterial, trauma, and minor burns among others. With our hyperbaric oxygen treatments, we regularly treat patients with complicated diabetic neuropathic ulcers, chronic bone infections, and radiation injuries. Members of the clinical team have presented lectures on wound care nationally and internationally; we have presented over a dozen scientific posters related to wound care at conferences across the country.
We regularly perform procedures to maintain and insure the healing process of and the prevention of wounds. This includes procedures like debridements, biopsies, tissue cultures, ultrasonic debridements, total contact casting, screening tests for arterial disease, debridements of nails and paring of calluses. Our center is also one of the few centers that perform hyperbaric oxygen treatments if that is indicated for your healing or prevention of wounds.
