This content was provided by Dr. Holman "Dr. Scot Holman is a Board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He graduated at the top of his class at the University of Tennessee where he completed his medical education, and was nominated to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society among other laurels. He completed his residency at the University of Florida where he developed outstanding clinical and surgical skills while learning from some of America's most esteemed ophthalmic surgeons. He is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist who also specializes in oculoplastic surgery, diseases of the cornea, glaucoma, diabetes and other retinal and macular disorders. Dr. Holman has extensive experience in the latest cataract micro-surgical techniques and state-of-the-art lens implants. He has performed more than 15,000 surgeries and was one of the region's first eye surgeons qualified to perform LenSx® refractive laser surgery, the most advanced method to eliminate cataracts. He was the first surgeon in Central Florida to implant the FDA-approved Symfony® extended range of vision intraocular lens. Dr. Holman and his family live in Mount Dora. Together they enjoy camping, hiking, boating and many other outdoor activities."
