Dr. Sarah LaSalle, a board certified anesthesiologist and Fort Wayne, Indiana native, came to SurgeryONE from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she completed an additional year of training as a Regional Anesthesia Fellow. Before pursuing a career in medicine, she worked as an occupational therapist, caring for patients in nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities in Fort Wayne and Peoria, Arizona.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine-Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Dr. LaSalle fulfilled her medical internship at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She completed her anesthesia residency training through the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She specializes in regional anesthesiology and acute pain management and has presented research on emerging drug applications and procedures in anesthesiology.
In her spare time, Dr. LaSalle enjoys traveling, going to the ballet, theatre, and fine art productions and fitness training. Being back in Fort Wayne, Dr. LaSalle particularly enjoys the convenience of having family near, escaping to the lake, and taking care of her new rescue dog Lily.
