The two times I've seen Dr. Weakland she has been in a rush and has complained about some thing or other (how there were so many patients she "couldn't help" today or how so many patients are coming in for orthotics today). First for my new orthotics fitting she asked "who diagnosed you?" and I said "YOU diagnosed hallux rigidus". Then she barely acknowledged my tendonitis and on my prompting told me to just take Ibuprofen twice a day, stretch, don't work out and use the orthotics and I'll be running again no problem. As I got ready to leave, her assistant asked "Is Dr. Weakland going to wrap your ankle?" and I responded that she didn't say anything about that, then hobbled out of the room. I thought what a waste of my time and money.

I came to see Dr. Weakland at the recommendation of a friend to obtain an orthotic. It was an awful mistake. I am a 70-year old woman and had fractured my heel in three places, cracked another bone, and chipped the talus. It was a bad injury requiring many weeks of non-weight-bearing, a boot, and rehab. I had worked hard both at recovery and also maintaining my morale. As a previously very active woman, I was finding it hard to keep a positive outlook, but I was happy with the progress I had made. Dr. Weakland could not have been more negative. She spoke of an incapacitating injury, an adverse outcome, probable arthritis, and ended our consult by telling me to come back in 3-4 months (this latter said over her shoulder as she left the room) and no orthotic. I was devastated. My husband was shocked at how demoralized I became. I was a PT for over forty years. I know how to counsel someone with a bad injury. This was not the way to do it. And .. I have just walked 5 miles.

Dr. Weakland seems like a competent practitioner. Unfortunately, I told that my treatment would be covered by insurance and it was not fully covered. Similar to another review, their response was that they would never tell a patient that and obviously were unconcerned about retaining us as a patient.

Very pleased with Dr Weakland and her staff. Very easy to get an appointment, very confident first with the explanation of condition and procedure (bunionectomy), and then with the followup. Accidentally got sutures wet (shower bag malfunction, my fault) and I was seen immediately. Would definitely recommend her practice to others.

Dr. Weakland is kind, thoughtful and a wonderful podiatrist. My mom has early stage dementia and does not like to leave her home. Dr. Weakland is one of those rare doctors who is willing to make home visits bringing all of her equipment to keep my mom's toenails in good shape. Concord is blessed to have such an amazing, caring local doctor.

Response to poor results of laser toe treatment (after more than a reasonable length of time) was Uh, yeah, sometimes it doesn't work too well - with no offer of re-treatment or refund. They did, however say the nails should be clipped and proceeded to clip them without ever mentioning that the fee would be $50 and it's not covered by insurance; then had the nerve to suggest that it be done every 3-4 weeks.

I am disappointed with the amount of wait time. Four appointments, forty minute wait each time. About one minute spent removing my stiches and left one in which I had to remove myself at home.
