An unexpected diagnosis!
I was referred to Dr Payne by my PCP and I couldn't be more pleased. I went in expecting to get a diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome only to find out I have osteoarthritis with bone on bone contact. Dr Payne recommended a treatment plan that could eventually lead to surgery but not until we've exhausted other treatment modalities.

Dr Payne shows more patience and care than any doctor I’ve had. I’m never rushed, everything is explained well and questions are answered. I feel 110% confident in his care. Dr Payne has gone out of his way to help me in any way. I’m grateful for him as my doctor. My wait time is always very reasonable and staff is kind

A truly outstanding physician!!
Outstanding!!! Very detailed yet very clear!! Gave me wrist relief when a doctor in a different major group didn't! After that, I saw him for a different problem with hand/finger. He pays close attention to the patient and is very thorough. I did not have to have surgery either time. I highly recommend Dr. Payne.

The front desk was totally uninterested in me. It was clear I was interrupting the 2 front desk girls' conversation while looking at their cell phones. Other nurses which called patients to the back were incredibly rude to the patients as well. After waiting for more than 1 hour, I was escorted by a male nurse to an examination room. He asked for my history and as I began to explain, he rudely cut me off and told me to keep my mask on my face. I did not remove my mask, I slightly pulled it from my face for air. It was difficult to breathe and talk. He was less than caring and more robotic repeating himself once again. Needless to say, I left as I felt my pain and condition was not a concern, but more of a power play on his part. I work in healthcare and I understand the concern healthcare workers encounter and respect their dedication, however I know the difference between risk and rudeness. The staff was horrific. I was never contacted by anyone afterwards. Nothing!

Saw Dr. Payne today. He was professional, empathetic, caring, and thorough. He examined my wrist reviewed x-rays, and rendered a diagnosis explaining what was causing the problem. He injected my wrist and applied a brace. As always I was totally satisfied with Dr. Payne's treatment and instructions. A+ practice and care from front desk to physician, nurses, techs. Best in Atlanta.
