My visit was the second surgery. Dr. Koo did my right shoulder 4 years ago with wonderful success. I wanted him to do my left shoulder this time, and I'm progressing with healing as expected. I highly recommend Dr. Koo and staff.

Dr. Koo performed a rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder three years ago. I only saw him very briefly on the initial visit and never again. His P.A., a woman, was my only source of contact. I had asked for him but you always get rerouted to his P.A. She also performs part of the surgery I discovered, but perhaps not an important part. Three years later my shoulder hurts me every day & I am having to see another surgeon. They told me if I went back to Proliance within the three years, I would not have the option of seeing another Surgeon.

Visit was great. I had been looking forward to it. My shoulder has been doing better than I thought it would. Pretty close to full motion. No pain since the surgery. Now the strengthening part starts so I can get back to the activities I want to do. Like golf, shooting hoops and throwing a baseball again with my Grandkids. Thanks

I felt I was in very good hands with Dr. Koo. The procedure was well explained. Everyone was very kind and professional on the day of the surgery. The majority of my follow-up visits were with Claudia, who is awesome. She performed dilation procedures and was very helpful in my getting back my range of motion.

Went in for an assessment of shoulder injury. I was asked whether I wanted a steroid shot or an MRI? One is a treatment and the other is for diagnosis. Not much information given on why I was asked that question. I had to ask questions about benefits of one over the other. I was asked to make a decision but no one could tell me if my insurance covered the MRI. I chose the injection.

Dr Koo replaced my right shoulder a little over a year ago. I held back on my review until I had full recovery to be sure all was well. My shoulder now is at full strength with 100% motion and no pain. I can throw a football, do pushups, chinups (not as many as when I was 60) and climb trees (I limbed two 60 footers three months ago) with confidence. Everything about the shoulder replacement procedure, pre-op and post-op was great. I can't express enough gratitude to Dr Koo and his assistant, Claudia, for changing my lifestyle so radically. I would recommend this team to all. I am 76 years old. This all may sound as an exaggeration but "this is my story and I am sticking to it".

Dr Koo was recommended by a relative who is a doctor at Evergreen as one of the best ortho docs available. I have not been disappointed. My rotator cuff tear was relatively severe and the journey has been long, but the progress has been steady. Based on my progress so far, I am optimistic that I will be fully recovered in a few months. His whole staff has been excellent as well. I would be happy to recommend him to anyone.

Surgery on 10/16/19 and shoulder feels great. So much so that I have to be careful not to overdo lifting heavy objects or thinking that I can start lifting weights at the gym. I still need to heal completely but I’m extremely happy with my progress so far ! By the way, I’m 70 years old.
