As a glaucoma patient prior to Doctor Boles opening his practice in Annapolis, I followed him. He detected a detached retina in my left eye and a tear in my right eye. He sent me the same day to a retina surgeon. I had an 80% chance of losing sight in my left eye. Thanks to both of these doctors I retained it. With detachments, cataracts almost alway follow. Dr. Boles performed the cataract surgery flawlessly. I highly recommend him and remain eternally grateful for the gift of sight.

After Catarac surgery the pain was quite strong. 10 hours later, after calling at least once every hour and being told that they could not get in touch with Dr. Boles and that there was no one else that they could call, I got a call from another Dr who sent me immediately to the Emergency room. The Caterac was not completely removed and there were pieces still in the bag. The next day they performed surgery to clean up the mess . We are hopeful there is no permenant damage.

      Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
