My description of Dr. Solomon Banarer is: Thorough, methodical and up to the point. After going around and around with many other doctors for almost 10 years, I went to Dr. Banarer with an A1C of more than 11. Dr. Banarer was factual, up to the point and spoke the truth that I needed to hear. He put me on a program, and told me what realistically I could hope to attain. My last A1C readings have been 5.8, 5.9 and 4.8 spaced 4 months apart. I understand more about this disease and I accept that it is a fight I will have carry on the rest of my life. I have a better understanding of how my life choices impact the condition, and I thank Dr Banarer more than anyone else for it. I could not recommend him to a diabetic any more than I am. He is an excellent doctor.

Dr. Banarer has literally been a miracle worker for our family. After being diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic at the age of 9, 30 years later Dr. Banarer discovered that both my brother and I had been misdiagnosed. We are actually MODY. Over 15 Doctors had previously treated us through the years and all missed this. We were able to immediately come off of insulin (2-3 shots a day, testing 4-6 times a day) and start treatment on pills only testing once or twice a week. This was not only a tremendous and welcome life change for me and my brother, but it has affected our family for the generations to come forever. There is a 50% chance that our children will be diagnosed, it's 100% going to be MODY. Thank you Dr. Banarer and staff for your amazing care and being a part of our miracle! We will forever be grateful.

I met for the first time with Dr. Banarer this week. I was concerned about some health conditions that I thought related to my thyroid levels. He was candid and caring as he instructed me to not blame all my issues on my thyroid. This helped me to focus my attention to other areas and I much appreciated his being candid with me. I'll return in six months for a recheck of my thyroid level and see him again in one year. I appreciated his personality and manner in which he communicated. Great doctor!

I have been a Type 1 diabetic for over 30 years and have been seen by DDEC since 1993. After a 3 year break from moving away, I came back and eager to continue my treatment with DDEC. They have been very caring and catering to my needs over the years. Dr. Banerer actually asks about things going on in your life instead of spending as little time in the room as possible. He and his staff have been great with their online portal and prescription requests.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Banarer for over a decade for treatment of my thyroid. I’ve never had anything less than an outstanding visit. Dr. Banarer himself is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. It’s always nice to see him at my yearly visits and he’ll ask me about my kids, etc. Labwork is always prompt through their portal; occasionally Dr. Banarer will call personally to go over labwork. The office staff is friendly and I’ve never had to wait more than 15 min to be seen. It’s a bit of a hike to get up to their quiet little office at Medical City, but it’s worth it!

Really short wait time considering. The ladies up front were absolutely amazing as well as helpful (& not rude or sparky). As for Doctor Banarer, MD he was kind, knowledgeable (explained everything EXTREMELY well). Also, saw Susan Watkins, NP in passing & she too was kin & friendly. If I could give 10?'s I would. Thanks so much & Blessed day y'all ??!!! CLnChico2

I have had two appointments with Dr Banarer and his staff in the past two months. I was pleasantly surprised by both of my visits. I had seen another doctor for a decade and was not pleased with his staff nor bed side manner. I was seen on time when my appointment was scheduled both times. Dr Banarer took the time, asked questions and actually listen. Above all else the staff in the office are so warm, pleasant and very professional. They treat you with respect and dignity. I highly recommend Dr Banarer and his staff. I am happy to say I have found my new doctor.

I have attended several appointments with Dr S. Banarer, from the beginning he has been absolutely professional, he has always provided me with clear and concise information and all his diagnoses have been accurate. In addition, he is a kind, gentle and open person, traits that are very valuable in a doctor. He will undoubtedly remain my first and only choice with all Thyroid issues.

Regularly see him for thyroid. Very personable and takes time to talk and listen to any issues or questions. Lab work was available the next day on the portal and he automatically had new prescriptions sent to my pharmacy the day of the results and pharmacy advised they were ready to be picked up.
