Dr. Sadeghi's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Sadeghi "Following completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Sadeghi moved back to Tulsa to be near his family in his home state of Oklahoma. He established his private practice, Children's Eye Care of Tulsa, where he began providing comprehensive medical and surgical management of pediatric eye disorders and adult strabismus. Dr. Sadeghi later joined The Eye Institute in 2012. Not only can pediatric eye disorders be important indicators of systemic conditions, but they may adversely affect academic performance and psycho-social interaction. A firm believer that sight is one of God's most precious gifts, Dr. Sadeghi became a strong advocate of early vision screening among children. Conservative in practice, he believes early intervention usually yields the best outcomes. Dr. Scott S. Sadeghi, a graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Chicago Osteopathic Hospitals and Medical Centers. Interest in pediatric ophthalmology led him to one of the top pediatric hospitals in the nation. He completed a two year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Doheny Eye Institute, and the University Of Southern California Keck School Of Medicine. The first year of Dr. Sadeghi's fellowship training integrated all areas of clinical sciences of pediatric ophthalmology, while the second year included an advanced academic regimen with an emphasis on pediatric ocular oncology and teaching. Doheny Eye Institute is a nationally renowned ophthalmology research and education facility. It was voted one of America's Top 10 Best Hospitals. During his fellowship, Dr. Sadeghi served as an assistant clinical instructor at affiliated hospitals, including Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, L.A. County Medical Center, USC Medical Center and Queen of Angels Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Sadeghi is involved in teaching pediatric, family medicine and ophthalmology residents. He is an adjunct clinical assistant professor of surgery at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU), Adjunct Teaching Physician for pediatric ophthalmology at the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine (OU-Tulsa). Dr. Sadeghi's hospital affiliations include Saint Francis, The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis, Saint John, Hillcrest, SouthCrest and OSU Medical Centers. Present and past affiliations include American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS), American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology & Otorhinolaryngology (AOCOO), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), California Medical Association (CMA), and National Academies of Practice (NAP) and Tulsa County Medical Society (TCMS)."
