Dr. Ostolski's bio
This content was provided by Dr. Ostolski "Dr. Ostolski specializes in Medical Weight Loss and Endocrine Disorders. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by ABIM, and she is also a Registered Dietitian with a Masters in Clinical Nutrition. She opted to get training from the best of both worlds, (M.D. & D.O.), and is on faculty at Weill Cornell Medical Center. She developed a NON-SURGICAL WEIGHT LOSS REGIME, which provides an alternative to weight loss without undergoing bariatric surgery. She is aware of the risks of surgery and feels that the same results can be achieved with a safer and gentler regime. HCG is combined with a VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet). The HCG diet is for those who have been unsuccessful with other weight loss plans and have 30 or more pounds to lose. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) works on the brain, specifically the hypothalamus, to possibly reset your hunger/satiety center. It is proposed to spare lean muscle, while promoting lipolysis or fat breakdown. HCG can possibly help lose weight in your resistant areas such as the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. It is important to be monitored closely by a physician and have regular blood pressure and heart rate checks. The most critical phase is to maintain the weight loss and keep it off."
