Dr. Zimmerman is extremely knowledgeable, kind, respectful and caring. His manner towards patients is outstanding. I had major shoulder problems on which he performed surgery and my shoulder is improving daily. I don't know what I would have done without him! I highly, highly recommend him to any and all.

I was injured at work in July of 2018 and diagnosed with a torn rotor cuff. With some research I chose to be seen by Dr. Ryan Zimmerman. He explained the entire procedure from surgery through physical therapy afterwards. He performed the surgery in October of 2018 which in my opinion and his went very well. I am currently still under his care and have progressed to strength rehabilitation. His personality, experience and compassion are to be commended. This was a positive experience for me.

Above expectations with Dr. Zimmerman. He actually listens to you and takes the time to answer any concerns you have. I work for the Baltimore City Fire Dept, so when I hurt my shoulder I needed a doctor who was confident and knowledgeable in his work. Under a year, I’m back strong as ever with no complaints. Very pleased.

I have run an organization for years seeking excellence. Dr Zimmerman, Greater Chesapeake Hand Center and the Curtis Hand Center at Union Memorial provided a new definition of excellence: Competence, compassion and professionalism at every interaction. While breaking your wrist is not pleasant, I am grateful for this experience as it has affirmed that the best doctors, the best offices, the best surgery centers can be excellent and also humble and kind. Thank you to Dr. Zimmerman and staff!

Our son was critically injured July 1, 2018. The local hospital stabilized him and then he was transported to another hospital. Finally, our he was transported to Union Memorial Hospital. We were blessed to have been sent to Dr. Ryan Zimmerman and his team, they are angels to our family. They did surgery on his wrist/hand and it was very extensive. About 1 year recovery time. Since surgery and PT, he can now move his fingers some and has regained some feeling back.

I managed to tear both of my biceps tendons in a single year. Dr. Zimmerman did such a great job on my first surgery that I did not hesitate when my other arm's tendon tore. Simply put, I can think of no higher recommendation than me going back to Dr. Zimmerman for my right bicep because of the job he did on my left bicep. I had originally gone to him because he was so highly recommended by the Johns Hopkins community, and his work confirmed his stellar reputation.

Dr Zimmerman operated on my broken wrist this past April after I missed one step and fell. My husband and I prayed that we would find the right doctor and our prayer certainly was answered. Dr Zimmerman, was so gentle and compassionate. I was able to see him the morning following my fall and had surgery within 2 days. He is a gifted surgeon and my recovery reveals that. I have full range of motion and my wrist is as good as it was before the surgery. I would recommend him a 100 times over.

Dr. Zimmerman was recommended to me from a trusted occupational therapist. I am sincerely grateful for being under his care and highly recommend him for any hand and wrist ailments. Through his advice, evaluations, and surgeries I am fully recovered from a major wrist surgery involving a complete ligament tear. He treats you as if you were his immediate family and leaves no questions or concerns unanswered. I do and will continue to recommend him to any and all. Thank you Dr. Zimmerman
