Devastated . I had called to make an appointment 2021 November and couldn’t get in till 1/6/22. I was told when I called that I needed a referral also …which consisted of a Dr appointment when my family doctor …at a cost . Then was told I needed an MRI also costing me money . The day before my appointment which I had anticipated so much so maybe I could get some pain relief Dr Barrett’s office calls and tell me my appointment was cancelled and they where not taking any more patients . I was devastated ! I have been depressed every since and now I have to start over and find someone else . Why would a doctor do that to someone the day before the appointment that I had waited so long to get in ? What a terrible thing to do to someone …and at 67 years old it’s not like I’m some young man . Now I’m just an old man in daily pain . So this is the kind of doctor “awards” are given to ?

Dr Barrett is the best neurosurgeon I’ve ever been to. I’ve had 5 back surgeries and he did my last one and also performed emergency surgery on my neck 4 years ago. I’ve NEVER felt as good as I feel now!!! He is passionate about his work and patients, he takes time with you and truly cares about you and what’s going on with your body. I highly recommend Dr Barrett for any surgery that you may need with a neurosurgeon. If I could give him 100 stars I would….

My name is James Compton. I was a patient at one time of Doctor Ryan Barrett. He is a wonderful Doctor. He did one of the best Si joint surgeries for me in the past. I hate he left his practice at st. John's Providence Hospital in Southfield Michigan. He had to move on to bigger and better things for his future. He is a true comfort to his patients and his practice

I met Dr Barrett in the Lapeer McLaren Hospital emergency room following an MRI. After reading the MRI he referred me to an exceptional Neurological Surgeon, Dr Jeff Jacobs who specializes in this type of brain tumor. I can’t thank him enough. Dr Barrett was very kind and professional when explaining why he was referring me to Dr Jacobs and he was absolutely correct. This was last October. I was operated on November 5, 2019, and Dr Jacobs was the best! If I ever needed Dr Barrett for his skills I would go to him in a heartbeat! Can’t thank him enough!

I have previously been a patient of Dr. Barrett's, having numerous back fusions as well as SI joint fusions, the most recent being May 2018. Each surgery I felt confident that his knowledge and support was of the highest quality. I always felt he was up front in every discussion regarding the pros and cons of surgical intervention.

Dr. Barrett has been a great help to me over the years with my back issues. I trust my doctor's opinion and always take his suggestions on-board when deciding what I feel is right for me. Dr. Barrett always has time to talk about my issues in depth and I can't speak highly enough of the support that he has given me. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Barrett and his office staff. I would recommend him to anyone with back problems.
