This content was provided by Dr. Barrett "Dr. Barrett graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University, Chicago in 2001, after which he completed an osteopathic neurosurgical residency at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers, Michigan State University in 2007. Thereafter, he completed a subspecialty fellowship in neuro-oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, University of South Florida in 2008. Dr. Barrett was board certified in neurosurgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in 2008. Dr. Barrett became the Program Director for the Osteopathic Neurosurgery Residency Program in Providence Hospital and Medical Centers in 2011 and Associate Program Director of the ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency in 2016. Dr. Barrett became a clinical assistant professor for the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University in 2011, clinical assistant professor for the Department of Neurological Surgery, William Beaumont School of Medicine, Oakland University in 2012, and clinical assistant professor for the College of Human Medicine, Michigan State University in 2016. He also became a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons in 2012. From 2014 to the present year, Dr. Barrett was elected one of the top doctors in Detroit by the Detroit Hour magazine. Dr. Barrett joined the practice in 2008."
