Dr. Arnold is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained and specializing in Sports Medicine and Cartilage Reconstruction. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University, he earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Arnold then remained at UNMC to complete his Orthopaedic Residency where he developed an interest in Sports Medicine. For further training and specialization, Dr. Arnold completed a Sports Medicine and Cartilage Reconstruction fellowship at Atlanta Sports Medicine under the direction of Dr. Scott D. Gillogly, a pioneer in the treatment of articular cartilage disorders. During this training, Dr. Arnold served as an Assistant Team Physician for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League and Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League. Dr. Arnold's practice encompass all sports-related injures while specializing in knee-related injuries. He has developed a particular emphasis on acute and complex knee injuries, knee ligament reconstruction, and cartilage restoration. Dr. Arnold has extensive experience in ACL reconstruction and ACL revision, multi-ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, and patella dislocations and stabilization procedures. Dr. Arnold has particular interest in cartilage repair and restorative procedures, including autologous chondrocyte implantation, osteochondral autografts and allografts. Dr. Arnold has research interest in the treatment of difficult cartilage disorders and has co-authored research on the subject as well as presented at National and International meetings. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and International Cartilage Repair Society. Dr. Arnold currently serves as a Team Physician for the Omaha Lancers Hockey (USHL), Nebraska Schools Activities Association, Omaha Mammoths Professional Football, Bellevue University, Omaha Beef Indoor Football, and Burke High School. Dr. Arnold currently sees patients in Omaha and Norfolk, NE and admits patients at the Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital and Methodist Hospital. His clinical team includes physician assistant, Jeremy Vanicek and nurse, Kim Beach.

I focus on injuries to the knee with special interests in cartilage repair, ligamentous injuries, meniscus injury and disorders of the patellofemoral joint (knee cap).
