This content was provided by Dr. Chin "Russell L. Chin, MD received his medical degree from the Medical School of the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. He then completed Neurology residency and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. This was followed by a clinical fellowship in Peripheral Neuropathy with Dr. Norman Latov at the Peripheral Neuropathy Center of Weill Cornell Medical College. His clinical and research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of various autoimmune neuropathies, including chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and multifocal motor neuropathy, and neuropathies associated with other medical illnesses such as connective tissue disease, celiac disease and infectious diseases. He also sees patients with other neuromuscular conditions, such as compressive mononeuropathies and motor neuron disease. He is the director of the EMG Laboratory at the Peripheral Neuropathy Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine."
