I never made it in to see the doctor. The office manager was rude. They never called me to schedule a referral after my long time Dr. retired. I made several calls to try and schedule an appointment. I had my records sent to this office twice. The office manager told me that I could not get any pain meds until after I was established and could not apply for disability for at least six months Also made sure to tell me that I would need to bring at least $150 dollars at first visit. Took 6 months

Kind and caring, willing to listen.

Dr. Branum has been my rhuematologist for the past 6 years. He has always been courteous and listened to my issues. He has made sure that the medications have been best suited to my diagnosis. I would and have recommended him!

Dr. Branum has been my doctor for years, in fact I was one of his first patients when he set up practice in FSM. It is always easy to blame the doctor when you have an incurable disease and can't seem to get well, but I have nothing but good things to say about my doctor. He takes time to listen to me and is willing to let me be my own advocate in my care. Being a retired RN I highly recommend him, but don't expect him to cure your incurable disease, only God can do that!

Dr. Branum has always taken my concerns seriously. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit to see him, but he gives me quality time so I don't mind. He's always researching new therapies and he truly cares about me as not only as person. My only complaint would be his receptionists. He will say "call if you have questions or problems" but getting a message past his receptionists can be hard. I've been seeing him for 9 years, he's saved my life and you will never find a better rhuematologist.

Asking patients to pay a down payment, that my insurance, (fed bc/bs) is not going to cover, implying the patient is there to support med addiction, and may or may not be responsible enough to show up to the appointment... I was treated as if I was drug addicted trailer trash. You are a dr, you need patients to keep your business, don't allow yourself or your beauty school dropout receptionists to treat people as such! This dr and his staff are unbelievable and should get over themselves!!

I saw Dr Branum for 10 years, did not have a problem with him until the last 2 years. He wasn't interested in trying any new therapy. Just prescribed more pain pills. His office staff was rude. Canceled appointments and then wouldn't re-schedule. He seemed concerned when I complained but I found out when I changed doctors, I was labeled as a trouble maker in my chart.
Fort Smith, AR |
I would not recommend this doctor. I only saw him a few times and each visit he barely looked at me, hardly listened to what i had to say. He appeared more interested in impressing the medical students shadowing him and telling them my issues before he allowed me to express all my complaints. Not very personable and appears to have an arrogant demeanor about him.
