We saw Dr Acherman when our daughter's heart defect was detected at her 19-week anatomy scan. He diagnosed her CHD, and spent a great deal of time explaining what the plan would be for my pregnancy, delivery, and her treatment. His compassion and wisdom set our hearts at ease. To boot, my daughter just fell in love with him in the NICU-- anytime she heard his voice, her O2 sats would shoot up!

Our daughter has Tetralogy of Fallot with an absent pulmonary valve. Dr. Acherman jumped in at 5 months gestation and was able to map out everything happening in the womb. His explanation of how the heart is supposed to work, and how it was working for her was extremely thorough and helped us understand the reasons for her need for surgery when born. He answered any and all questions in lay man's terms and never lets you give up hope. He feels like part of the family and loves with so much heart
