R. Tyler Frizzell, MD is board certified in neurosurgery. He earned his bachelor's degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and his medical degree and doctorate in molecular physiology and biophysics from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He served his residency in neurological surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and fellowship in neurology at the Queen's Square Institute of Neurology in London, England. Dr. Frizzell served as assistant professor of Neurological Surgery at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, and began private practice in Boise in 1995.
