WE want the patient to be an active participant in decisions having to do with their health. Our philosophy is to teach the patient about his/her condition and treatment alternatikves so that he/she can comfortably make an informed decision regarding the most appropriate treatment. I hve no time limit on my patient visits and am willing to take however long it takes for them to learn and understand. I treat all my patients with dignity nd respect regardless of what insurance they have.
Dr. Ronald Ripps founded Connecticut Family Orthopedics in 1975. Specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery and surgery of the hand. He has received training in partial knee replacement and has the most experience in partial knee replacement in the Danbury area. Dr. Ripps attended Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, MA, and was awarded his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1968. Dr. Ripps completed his internship at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington DC in 1969, and a general surgical residency at Boston City Hospital in 1970. He served from 1970-1972 as Chief Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force. At the conclusion of active duty, Dr. Ripps completed an orthopedic residency at Barnes Hospital Washington University, St. Louis Missouri. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedics Surgeons, Dr. Ripps is a member in good standing of the American medical Association, the Academy of Orthopedics Surgeons and the New England Hand Society, and the Connecticut State Orthopedic Society. Dr. Ripps is a board Certified Medical Examiner and performs disability evaluations for personal injury and Workers' Compensation cases.
