Terrible experience from long wait, long, fumbling and incomplete physical examination. Dr. Ripps was generally unpleasant to the point of rudeness. he was a very poor listener and a poor diagnostician. I am 67 and have multiple orthopedic issues. I would have trouble performing as an orthopedic surgeon so when I say that Dr. Ripps age and infirmity makes it difficult for him to perform as an orthopedic surgeon, one of the medical specialties which require physical dexterity and strength.

      Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

WE want the patient to be an active participant in decisions having to do with their health. Our philosophy is to teach the patient about his/her condition and treatment alternatikves so that he/she can comfortably make an informed decision regarding the most appropriate treatment. I treat all my patients with dignity nd respect regardless of what insurance they have.

      Dr. Ripps says...

Having been in practice for over 40 years, I have a perspective on orthopedic conditions few other practicing orthopedists share. In 2008 I was elected Orthopedist of the Year in Connecticut  by the Connecticut Orthopedic Society. I pride myself on my diagnostic skills and my ability to solve puzzling musculoskeletal conditions. Since I no longer operate, I can provide my pattienst with completely objective and unbiased opinions. For those whop require a surgical solution, I have a wonderful group of younger associates who can take over the patient's care. Every day I see patients who have stayed with me for three or four decades.
