My regular neurologist had sent me to Politi because my doctor didn't perform the outpatient procedure that I needed. At my appointment I had to wait for over 2.5 hours before I saw him only to find out that he won't be performing the procedure because they hadn't processed any of my paperwork. To make matters worse, he was sick with a bad cold that day & didn't care that he was spreading all his germs. He/his office were completely unprepared to see me & should have canceled the appointment! Things got worse as he badmouthed my regular neurologist and changed my medications without knowing my history or paying attention to my existing medications. I had only gone to see him for a procedure, not for a diagnosis or overall care, but it sounded like he was trying to steal patients from other neurologists. When I went to fill the prescription the pharmacist pointed out that my heart could have stopped with the new med combined with existing meds. I was horrified at the oversight!

After years of pain and multiple ER visits, Dr Politi happened to be the radiologist on call at my most recent urgent care visit. Dr Politi saw the same uterine cysts that previous radiologists had seen but he was the first to think, “grin and bear it” was not the best solution. Ultimately, he performed a Uterine Fibroid Embolism. I can’t begin to express the extraordinary care I have received from Dr Politi, his nurses and staff. What doc gives you his cell# & texts regularly to check in?!

Family member had PML. An MRI showed it. Dr. Politi said the technician must have made a mistake. That person is now deceased.
