Dr. Wijewickrama performed surgery to remove a great many polyps from my nose that had caused me to lose my sense of smell and prevented me from breathing through my nose. I had frequent bronchitis and constant congestion until my PCP finally referred me to Dr. W. He diagnosed my problem within minutes and explained the procedure that he would do to correct it. I am thrilled with the results and was back to work within a few days - no pain meds needed after the day of surgery.

I would recommend getting a second opinion after seeing Dr W. I made the mistake of not getting a second opinion and it resulted in me having to get 2 surgeries. I believe that if he was a little more truthful with me he would have referred me to another Dr that was more qualified for the procedure that needed to be done instead of having 2 operations. No one wants 2 surgeries in a 2 month span when it could have been avoided. Trust me get a second opinion.

Dr. Wijewickrama is a first-rate ENT doctor and surgeon, both a professor (Tufts) and active practitioner. I was referred to him by my PCP, Dr. Janice Powell, and was lucky to be the recipient of his services. I had a challenging set of sinus and inner-ear problems, a substantial growth plus persistent infections. He worked thru them in such a calm, professional and timely manner that months of distress was over in a couple of weeks. Few doctors are so completely gifted.
