Dr. Ostrander, MD, accepted my wife to perform rotator cuff surgery(tear); that required consent from her heart surgeon owing to open heart surgery in 2011. Dr. Ostrander was thorough in his pre surgery assessment, and then explained that he could perform the surgery. He did so professionally and as an expert in his medical area. The Dr. and his staff provided a thorough after care and therapy plan, that was instrumental in helping my wife regain almost full range of motion in ~12 wks. SBW

Dr O did my rt shoulder rotator repair late last year. I couldn't tuck in a shirt or throw. Still a bit tough to throw but but working through that and hopefully this will loosen up as well. I can swim without pain and do a vast majority of physical efforts that were tough to do before. Post op physical therapy essential but surgery so good PT reps amazed at flexibility only two days after operation. Thanks Dr. O! I am 67 but now 67 and active again.

Dr. Ostrander is a wonderful, skilled surgeon who operated on both of my mother's shoulders. He listens to his patients and seems to genuinely care about their well-being. He has a wonderful support staff! Highly recommended!

I have been using Dr. Ostrander several years for my knees and shoulders. He repaired a rotator cuff a few years ago and he did a great job. I highly recommend him!

I want want everyone to know what a skilled surgeon Dr Ostrander is! I started seeing him in 2009 for my knee. He took such good care of me. Within the last year I developed pain in my shoulder and he was the only dr I would even consider seeing for it. It is so worth the 3 hour round trip from my home to see the best!! I recommend him to all my friends and family.

Absolutely the best orthopaedic surgeon in my opinion. Just had meniscus surgery 5 days ago and haven't used crutches since the third day. Have not needed a pain pill other than Aleve on first day of therapy. Back to driving and climbing stairs. He also did a rotator cuff repair several years ago and my recovery was very prompt and very low pain levels. He is my Orthopaedic surgeon and would have my highest recommendation. Thank you Dr Ostrander and your entire staff.
Milton, FL |
Dr. Ostrander was very thorough and to the point(which I like). He explained my diagnosis and plan for recovery. I highly recommend him. One of the best in the business.
Gulf Breeze FL |
Dr Ostrander and his staff are amazing!!! They are knowledgeable and compassionate. I read the negative review below and that person must be describing a different physician. Dr Ostrander and his team are the best in the business. We are fortunate to have him in Gulf Breeze. I am a nurse and I tell anyone who needs orthopedic surgery to go see Dr Ostrander - the best!!

I am employed by Baptist Healthcare and wanted to have my surgery done at the Andrews Institute. I was referred there by the ER. He declined to accept me as a patient following a records review and gave no logical reason. From everything I have been told the surgery is relatively simple. He wasted my time and I had to find another surgeon. I thought doctors were there to help people, not pick and choose who is worthy of their efforts. He needs to find another profession.
