Dr. Ostrander listened to where I described my pain and pointed out that my description was not indicative of problems with my knee but more likely my back. Unlike another orthopedic surgeon I saw about 10 days previous to this visit, who was ready to schedule me for a complete knee replacement, Dr. Ostrander instead referred me to physical therapy instead of unnecessary surgery. To me, this means he has (and practices) ethics.

Dr. Ostrander performed surgery on my left shoulder and six months later on my right shoulder to repair injuries to my rotator cuffs. Dr. Ostrander performed the necessary diagnostic procedures to evaluate and explain my injuries and how he could repair them. He consulted with me in the surgery center on the day of surgery prior to surgery. He informed my husband after surgery of the results and success of the surgery. His practice is organized, and his staff is professional and proficient at communicating through the entire treatment process. My wait time at scheduled appointments is reasonable, and the waiting area is clean and comfortable. I am confident I have received the best medical care available from Dr. Ostrander.

As usual my visit was nothing but positive. He explains everything in layman’s terms and ultimately leaves it up to the patient to decide if and when to have an operation if it’s needed. He’s operated on one shoulder and will operate on the other rotator cuff later this year. He’s just the BEST!

Great staff and Doctor! After 3 long years of suffering for my 10 year old daughter in Mobile, we came to see Dr. O and he found the problem and we are having surgery to fix it this week! So she can return to a normal active life.
