I have seen numerous doctors from all over the US for my chronic condition. I was referred Horan by a trusted GP. Let me just say that this doctor is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. He was unwilling to listen. The notes he took during our consultation were completely incorrect. I’ve never seen such poor work go into a “diagnosis” before. During follow up visits, I had a list of questions that went unanswered bc he wanted to address them at our next 5 week appt. The craziness goes on!

Dr. Horan had to okay seeing me as a patient because, he only picks and chooses which Medicaid patients he'll accept. Unfortunately, my husband lost his job recently, and we have Medicaid. I have been having MS symptom flare ups, and had been hospitalized, over the weekend. Instead of his staff calling me to let me know he denied seeing me, they waitied for me to be in contact with them. Wasting more time. They seem to only care for money not helping people. Be aware of who you see.

Very poor bedside manner. Didn't even shake my hand when he entered the exam room. I didn't even have enough time to complete my new patient forms. I've seen three neurologist's in the past five years and have many problems. He didn't a very short neurological exam and didn't even pay attention to the explanation of symptoms and medical history. I'm will not see him again and do not recommend him.

I'm rather disgusted with this doctor and clinic. My pain management doctor called to get me in asap for a consult due to continual progression of neurological symptoms. I get to office and told that he will not be able to see me. Reasons were that I saw another neuro w/mana and that he couldn't bill a new patient appointment. So much for having the right for a second opinion.

No bed side manner. Felt like I was wasting his time that I was paying for. Hadn't even fully reviewed my MRI. Said come back in a month an he'd look more at it. I wanted answers on 1st visit!

I was very impressed with Dr. Horan. He was pleasant, concerned and knowledgeable. He took time to answer my questions and gave me a very thorough examination. After 5 years of dealing with my condition, l feel that he may be the person who can help.

Lost a a long term head?che specialist in Springfield, MO. , so i decided to look locally..my gp made me an appt with Dr. Horan . He had read mr charts before seeing me, so he was fairly up to speed. He spent 20 plus minutes discussing our options, and we decided on one i had never tried . Im not at full dose but i see promise! I see him again this week, we just need to work some minor sid effects. I was impressed, very thoughtful. Some neuros wont see migrainuers, so Im glad Dr Horan does .

Dr. Horan didn't do anything that my primary care physician hadn't already done but he did charge me and my insurance company a lot of money. He failed to explain the side effects of medications he prescribed even after I asked him about the medication. I was seeing him for migraine headaches and I got absolutely no relief of them under his care.
