This content was provided by Dr. Biswell "I respect ophthalmologists who are honest, caring, well-trained and smart. I do not respect those who make a business out of ophthalmic surgery. I believe that surgery is a last resort, to be done only if more conservative measures fail. A good ophthalmic surgeon, however, should not hesitate to operate if the procedure is clearly indicated. The patient should help to decide on surgery, after being presented with an honest, detailed informed consent."
