Efficient, professional, patient-centered office with caring and thoughtful medical personnel using high quality equipment. Dr. Wong is the best of the best in his specialty. Absolutely recommend him to anyone with retina-related issues.
The guy who did the vision testing is in training, and I want to say that he was excellent! He had a very nice, gentle manner with me and seemed completely competent.
And Dr Wong was his usual upbeat self.
Dr Wong is friendly, personable and pleasant. He was thorough and knowledgeable about my retinal issue, and identified another finding. He addressed all of my issues and concerns. Staff is friendly and very supportive of patients. I am glad he is my ophthalmologist!

Dr Wong explained my condition so that I understood it and was reassured. The Austin Retina Associates staff were kind, accommodating, competent and efficient. Once when I experienced what I thought was an emergency over Christmas, the doctor on call gave me reassurance and instructions until I was able to get in to be evaluated by Dr Wong within a day or so. Strongly recommend Dr Wong and Austin Retina Associates.
The best! Saved the eyesight in my left eye when I had an emergency retinal tear with no warning. I’m a nurse, and am also so impressed with the efficiency of his office, getting me through all the testing rooms with precision and speed. Dr. Wong was great, and lasered the tear. My vision returned to normal in a couple months, and I’m forever grateful.
Had my annual retina exam with Dr. Wong and it was professional, and to the point. No signs of wet mac-degeneration from previous visit. Still doing good, taking vitamins as recommended. See me back in a year for annual visit and checking up on my condition.
Dr. Wong is able to evaluate the eye problems very quickly and accurately. He will answer any questions you have in a manner which is easy to understand.
If you want to be intentional about finding your doctor you can read these reviews or you can do what I did which was to get a second opinion from the doctors and use the time to interview the doctor. Find out how much they’re willing to tell you about their treatment plan, recommendations and expected outcome. I could not be more pleased with how my visit with Dr. Wong went in preparation for my upcoming eye surgery. He answered all of my questions and explained what and why the surgery was needed. On top of that Anna was extremely helpful in getting things set up and explaining the finances of the procedure. I am confident that I am in good hands for the upcoming procedure. Tt
