Dr. Robert J. Winn first found his passion for medical science in his undergraduate years at Furman University. He emerged from his first years of college with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, and promptly began his graduate studies at Villanova University. There, Dr. Winn pursued a master's degree in general/experimental psychology; however, Robert realized amidst his specialized psychology courses that he wanted to shift his career path to broader options. In 1993, Dr. Robert J. Winn enrolled in a doctoral program at Hahnemann University School of Medicine at Drexel University in Pennsylvania. There, he became board-certified physician, and began caring for patients in his home city of Philadelphia, PA; he served as a faculty member in the Family Medicine department of Thomas Jefferson University hospital for fifteen years.
Dr. Robert J. Winn firmly believes that every person should be able to seek care regardless of their financial circumstances; too often, he has found that those who need medical help the most are often unable to afford needed treatment. Acutely aware of the gaps in the healthcare system, Robert strives to reach out to populations that are commonly shunned, such as those afflicted by drug addictions, and help them work towards long-term health goals. His convictions have inspired him to become a community activist, and dedicate his career to ensuring that those with limited resources have access to quality medical care. Robert J. Winn is currently licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.
