I was referred to him by my pulmonologist for stage 1 non small cell adenocarcinoma in top right lobe of lung. I felt very comfortable, but was prepared to ask the questions of my concern until after the visit. Between Rate MD and this site any reviews regarding thoracic surgery conditions; mostly all cardio so will not commit as yet. But was very confident in him and he had very good professional caring mannerism.

Dr Weincek is an excellent doctor and surgeon. I was referred to him by my primary for an emergency situation. He spent the time to explain everything and why surgery was the only option. I owe him my life. I consider myself very lucky to be in his care.

Dr Wiencek performed chest surgery on my son when he was 10 years old ( he is now almost 27 ) due to an injury on a trampoline . I was instantly impressed with his bedside manner & knowledge. About 2 1/2 years ago I needed my esophagus dilated due to Scleroderma causing scar tissue and I immediately thought of Dr Wiencek and had my Primary care doctor refer me to him . He has done about 7 dilations on me and will continue to do them until he retires , I would not trust anyone else to do them ...

In 2010 Dr. Wiencek preformed open heart surgery on me to replace my aortic valve. He is an excellent Doctor and Surgeon; very caring and able to tell his patient about their procedure and what to expect in language that the man in the street can understand. You won't be sorry if you chose Dr. Wiencek.

About Me

Care Philosophy

As a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon I am an optomist. I will always choose to help if I feel there is a chance. I am an aggressive surgeon but I would like to think that I always try to accurately assess the risks of surgery and the benefits. I also choose to always treat people with respect.
