The last straw. I've been a patient of his for about a yr., never had a great visit. I called last week to schedule an appointment since I awoke in the middle of the night with a stabbing pain in my ear from a sinus infection. They inform me, the Dr. noticed I'm past due for a physical and wouldn't see me for my ear before I get another physical. I ask, so he won't treat me now, for something that's ailing me, before I get a physical? She replied yes, if it gets too bad, go to the ER... I'm done
My brother died of a heart attack while driving and wrecked bad. He did not survive. I called the office to ask for a sedative to calm my 85 yr old mother down. They said we can prescribe but you have to bring her in. I took her in and after leaving and in Bastrop 25-30 miles away noticed they did not prescribe her meds requested. The lady( speaking nice of her, she was NO LADY). She argued then lied by saying we asked her if she wanted em. They said she didn't want em. They LIED. Don't go

My ex father-in-law of some 15+ years was a surgeon and I've seen countless physicians over the years and I've come to know the difference between great doctors and bad ones. It is with this experience that I can unequivocally recommend Dr. Stroud for anyone looking for a discerning and thorough general practitioner, the sort of old school physician who takes his time with patients and listens to them carefully. Dr. Stroud even takes his patient's vitals, which is UNHEARD OF THESE DAYS! Wow!

Complete failure of a doctor. Was wrong on every diagnosis he tried to make. Didn't know what he was dealing with and refused to give referrals to anyone else who did. When lab work came back he left new instructions to start taking supplements that I informed him I'd been on for months. Anyone who actually needs medical care should steer clear.

I felt like I was the one asking more questions to him during my visit for internal medicine than anything. It really was a one sided convo. The office staff did tell me today that he takes his time w/ patients & usually runs behind. Good for patient. Not good if you're like me w/ a 2 mo old appt & waiting for 55 mins w/o being seen. The office/staff is not conducive to how well the dr probably is. I would of love to keep him as a de but if an hour wait is normal then I will be looking elsewhere

Dr. Stroud believes in real patient care--he is thoughtful, asks the right questions, and does not impose fixes unless necessary.

It was wonderful, after years with ARC, too many appointments never fixing any real problems. After an extensive search, I found Dr. Stroud. I'm legally blind, for some ignorant few accepting and helping with that is beyond difficult. However, Dr. Stroud and his staff adapted immediately, with no elongated, time-wasting explanations. Therefore, I actively recommend this wonderful, compassionate doctor and his extraordinary staff! This is the first positive review/survey ever
