Dr. Reid has the depth and breadth of experience in the hematology/oncology areas to advise and treat complex situations. I have been under his excellent care for 5 years. A few months ago I was in the hospital for another matter and in a bad position. I was relieved to see Dr. Reid at my door. He had come to the hospital when he learned the nature of my problems. Dr Reid developed a treatment plan that was followed and that restored my health. I am so grateful to him.

Very caring, great advice
Dr Reid has treated me for cancer on and off for more tnan 20 years. He treated my first cancer (Hodgins Lymphoma) with Chemo and Radiation, then a year later stem cell transplant. I have now been in remission for 28 years, but he has continued to check in with me periodically. A couple years ago, I developed a different cancer (Prostate), did regular testing and offered advice while I was treated in my home state. he was the first to detect and diagnose recurrence to my prostate cancer, and is advising me on alternative treatments and their effectiveness vs side effects. I always respect his wise advice, and am glad to have had him in my corner, fighting for my health over the years. Would definitely recommend Dr Reid.

If asked he would be my first choice.
Though I have very limited experience dealing with cancer and oncologists, I found my interaction with Dr. Reid as pleasant as could be possible given the nature of interaction and he has been able to guide me and my family thru the maze of treatments and possible outcomes. He has made me feel that he has an interest in my health and needs.

Competent, comprehensive, compassionate care
Outstanding experience and outcome for Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I chose Dr Reid, because he was endorsed by a physician friend of mine, who noted ‘my patient would not be alive today, were it not for Dr Reid, who referred the patient to another world class cancer center when other expertise was needed in the case. I knew that I was in the right place with this endorsement and my treatment experience was perfect in every way. Great oncologist and team.

Dr Robert Reid, Oncologist is exceptional: Great skills, compassion and critical care helped me survive Stage 4 Blood/Bone cancer all over with the left arm rendered jello by the vicious largest cancer mass and had permeated Cervical 3 & 6; the Thyroid & entire body. Extremely cautious about my choice of doctors, but Dr Reid’s state-of-the-art knowledge; perfect bedside manners; and a well conducted strict 24 hour regimen encompassing me with a highly qualified medical team great facilities and the latest Government-approved cocktail of medications/treatment. Dr. Reid discusses the pros and cons of treatment and always does what is best for me that coincides with the research my families in Australia/India/UK/Canada have. Seven years later, he and his wonderful medical staff provide up-to-the-second advice and assistance, if needed, to include that these are covered and met now in retirement and through Medicare. Truly, Dr. Reid and his staff are gems. Vive La Virginia Specialists!
