Dr. Rankin is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is originally from Maryland and graduated with honors from the University of Maryland with a Biochemistry degree. He then attended Temple University's School of Medicine where he served as Student Council President and subsequently completed an Internal Medicine internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he was voted "Intern of the Year." Dr. Rankin then returned to Temple for his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where he served as a Chief Resident. Afterwards, he completed a fellowship at Performance Spine and Sports Physicians where he gained additional training in Interventional Spinal procedures and advanced Pain Management techniques. Dr. Rankin also works in the field of Addiction Medicine, and has experience in treating patients with coexisting chronic pain and substance use disorders, a topic on which he frequently presents. Dr. Rankin has presented nationally on various topics within Rehabilitation Medicine and Pain Management.
