I just completed a minimally-invasive total hip replacement with Dr Piston. I had very little pain after surgery and was able to go home the day after the procedure. Full weight on my operated leg right away. Lots of teaching before surgery and great instructions. Saw Dr Piston before surgery and he reviewed the procedure and findings on the night of the procedure. Great team of people at Specialty Orthopedics! Very Pleased

I have been to many other orthopedic surgeons and have never had any others spend the time with me that Dr. Piston did. He has specialty training in total joint replacement as well as hand surgery. The therapy facility at this practice is second to none. I highly recommend Dr. Piston and Specialty Orthopedics. We come from Pittsburgh to see him.

I went to Dr. Piston for my hip and knee issues, which have been bothering me for years. The wait was very reasonable to see the doc and a physician assistant handled the intake. Dr. Piston is a kind doctor who took the time to explain every step of the exam and surgical/non-surgical options to me. I am confident Dr. Piston always had my best interests in mind. The surgery went very well and Dr. Piston checked in many times to make sure I was doing well post-op. Best doctor in western PA!

Dr. Piston is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the area! He and his staff provide top-notch care to all of his patients - he spent time with me to explain my treatment options, made my surgery very easy for me, and checked in with me constantly after my surgery to make sure I was doing well. He has an excellent record as a highly-skilled surgeon and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
