Dr Nixon is a very competent orthopedic surgeon. I sustained a ripped superior labrum from being hit by a semi, and due to his fine work, my left shoulder has no more pain, and works like new. Long recovery, but that comes with the territory… I have many other unrelated issues/injuries that are permanent in nature, but the relief I’ve gotten from his work is a godsend… Any less pain in my world is a welcomed outcome! If you need a good ortho, ignore the “negative” reviews… I am nothing but confident and thankful in Dr. Nixon’s abilities as a surgeon. I’m most certain those reviewers leave bad reviews everywhere, as they seem difficult and unhappy in how they even present themselves…

He followed up after my PT sent me back to the office saying there was nothing more they could do I needed surgery. Another Dr. I saw in that practice left and I went to see Nixon. He was rude not willing to listen , out right mean. He called me unhealthy. I am over weight but due to thyroid issues but I am healthy. I asked him if he read the report. He almost went enraged. Perhaps it was a bad day for him IDK. I would never go back to him. He came across arrogant and insulting. I worked and sold to doctors for 20 years ( pharma rep ) ,never came across one like him. They would have to pay me to go back. My daughter said he was mean.. . She is the ?? queen of mean.

Woud not take the time to listen to my concerns. At second appointment, he asked if I was still in Physical Therapy? I notified him that my PT sent him a comprehensive follow up to renew my PT services. Must be having nurses re-prescibing and not reading follow ups. Waste of time.
