Dr. Cliff Moore is trained in the care and maintenance of high-risk pregnancies and techniques related to fetal care including chorionic villus sampling (CVS), diagnostic amniocentesis and diagnostic ultrasound. He has special interest in fetal diagnosis and therapy, care and delivery of multi-fetal gestations and treatment/prevention of preterm birth. He joined Ochsner in 2009 and is currently researching the molecular mechanisms surrounding the onset of labor. After completing his undergraduate training at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Dr. Moore returned to Shreveport to complete his Master's degree in neuropharmacology. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University Medical Center in Jackson. Dr. Moore completed fellowship training in maternal fetal medicine at Magee Womens Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While completing fellowship, Cliff was awarded the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) ACES award for excellence in patient care. He serves on committees of national and international professional organizations including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and Society for Gynecological Investigation.Read more
