My first impression of Dr. McAllister was positive, and it only became more so as I dealt with him and his staff throughout my hip replacement experience. This Dr. and his staff are the most professional people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My hip is doing wonderful. I am 12 weeks out from having it done, and the only time I even think about it is just to be amazed at hoe well it works! It feels just like the one original I still have. I had lots of apprehension in the days leading up to the surgery, but knew I had to get it taken care of, I was in pain walking and standing. The operating room was very impressive, and the people working in there were the best. All made me feel comfortable and at ease with what was about to happen. I got to go home the same day, and I was done using the walker about 4 days out, and the cane about a week after that. The hip replacement was a life changer. Thanks to Dr. McAllister and his crew for giving me my active lifestyle back.

I would not recommend Dr McAllister. He is a very arrogant person and questioned me about personal issues that had nothing to do with my hip. When I asked him to explain something to me he said well I can give you a pamphlet it is to complicated to explain. He was more interested in the treatment I was getting from other doctors. He refused to do surgery on me which is just fine with me.

Dr. McAllister replaced both hips; one in 2003, and one in 2006. I’ve dislocated my left hip numerous times (my fault for not following precautions) and was fortunate to have had Dr. Mc in the ER four of these times. I can’t say enough wonderful things about him. Unfortunately, due to the numerous dislocations, I’m now facing left hip revision and, sadly, Dr. Mc no longer accepts my insurance.

Dr. McAllister performed my hip replacement in 2014. He is a very compassionate, caring doctor with a bedside manner I wish all doctors could have. Explained in detail the entire hip replacement procedure beforehand answering my many questions. He listens well and I have the utmost trust in him should I require another hip replacement in the future. I highly recommend Dr. McAllister.
