Great doctor - Great clinic!
Dr. Marks is a fantastic doctor who’s not only brilliant in his medical knowledge, but also exceptionally kind and caring with his patients. My sister is a patient of his and for years she’s raved about his outstanding care and great personality, so when I moved from Georgetown and had to leave my own pain clinic, I of course decided to try Dr. Marks myself… and I must say that after months under his care, I now understand exactly why she is so pleased with him! He truly is a wonderful doctor and what’s more, his entire staff is great too. In fact, if I could, I’d give Dr. Marks and the clinic many more stars than just five!

This man is an excellent physician. He is thorough, knowledgeable, caring and personable. He is a good listener and spends whatever time is needed to address your concerns. He goes above and beyond to solve all your issues, even loaning me his battery charger when my battery went out at his office.

Excellent. Dr. Marks is very smart and can figure out where the pain is coming from, and do a proper treatment. He is inquisitive, nice and willing to work with the patient. I had a great pain management doctor for 15 years who retired and was very concerned about who to see. I think I will be treated well at this practice. Some of the staff needs to improve, to have a bit more empathy for the patients and process the test orders in a more timey manner. The practice is super clean.

Dr marks is a good listener when your in his office. Don’t leave a message, if he does not understand he does not bother to call. Pushes meds like meloxicam when it is doing little to nothing to ease your pain. Very reluctant and usually does not prescribe any pain meds even if one a day. Does not seem to understand the severity of people’s pain and their tolerance.

Dr. Marks is great. I've known him a while, he's friendly, easy to schedule with and understood my back issues immediately - he took care of the problem and I felt better right away. I'd recommend him and his practice (and friendly staff) to anyone. Terrific doctor and practice.

If you can manage to get around the really horrible male staff member who works in the front office, the rest of your visit will be great. Dr. M. really knows his stuff, his attitude towards patients is wonderful, answers all questions thoroughly, make time for YOU. Has a busy practice, but gets the job done well. Just has one rotten apple in his barrel, that spoils the rest, somewhat.

I'm grateful for Dr. Marks and wonderful staff, I recommend him if you're serious about getting better and less pain. Dr. Marks really listens, is honest, talks are productive, he gives sensible treatment options; and his back injections help - not make it worse. He's accessible (call back 11pm after giving a speech!) and staff know you & care. I'd lost all hope after 3 awful years at 2 big Austin "pain/back clinics" starting ok but soon show they are money focused "pill mills", unlike Dr Marks.

Can you give this doctor and his staff more than five stars? What a refreshing change from most pain management clinics!! This doctor took his time, he asked questions, paid attention to my answers, my concerns and to all of my aches and pains. He actually gave me an examination.....this was a first for me, as previous pain clinics lined me up, wrote a script and out you went...... Dr. Marks is NOT one of those doctors, and he actually has a personality! I was thrilled to find this unique doc!!

Dr. Marks was 500% better than my previous experience with another Pain doctor in Austin. He took a lot of time explaining everything he interpreted from my MRI and my history. He was excellent in the procedure execution and kept me well informed every step of the way. His PA and nurses are also very friendly and smart. I highly recommend this team.

This Dr. is AMAZING!!! We took my mother who has been in chronic pain for the last 4 years. The other Pain Dr., she was seeing just kept give more and higher doses of pain meds. So we finally said enough is enough. We located and visited Dr. Marks, it has only been one month and things are improving! He is working on eliminating the CAUSE of the PAIN and working on reducing the pain meds. This Dr. is credit to the medical profession. I wish we had done it SOONER!

Dr Marks is an excellent doctor. He makes you feel comfortable and always answers your questions to the best of his knowledge and if he can he finds out for you so your not left in the dark. He cares so much about his patients. I see him more as family now then i do my doctor. He is the best doctor you can hope for. He always makes you feel really at ease with everything you are having problems with and explains why you are having those problems. Then offers alternatives to help solve them.

Dr. Marks listens carefully, asks intelligent questions, and treats me with respect. He takes his time (often runs late so take this into consideration when scheduling). Don't be put off by his relative youth! He's brilliant, passionate, and engaged; and he stays up to date on current research. He's non-judgmental, mentally agile, and even a bit of a goofball (in a good way). Dr. Marks makes me feel like a person, not a criminal or a mental case. Now I believe I CAN live with fibromyalgia.
