This content was provided by Dr. Maddalon "Robert Maddalon, MD, MS attended college at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where he played varsity basketball. He graduated cum laude and later received a Master of Science degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Dr. Maddalon graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. His orthopedic surgery training was performed at the Hospital of the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Today, Dr. Maddalon specializes in total joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. He has performed hundreds of minimally invasive (mini-incision) hip and knee replacements over the past several years. Additionally, he performs partial knee replacement surgery with excellent results. Also, Dr. Maddalon uses the Zimmer gender specific knee replacement when indicated and computer-assisted surgery in many patients. He also performs the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing procedure in younger patients. Dr. Maddalon has performed thousands of knee and shoulder arthroscopies as well as hip and knee replacements in the Brandon and Sun City areas since he began practicing in 1985. He is board certified. He has served as the Chief of Surgery and formerly on the Board of Trustees at Brandon Regional Hospital. Currently on the Board of Trustees at South Bay Hospital. In the past, he has served as a team physician for several area high schools including Bloomingdale, Durant and Armwood."

At 215, we asked when we would be seen, and were told he was still out to lunch, and we would be the 9th patient to be seen upon his return! I have had several accidents which led me to Dr. Maddalon. In my opinion he is the best orthopedic surgeon in our area. Yes, you may have to wait a while to see him, but his knowledge and skills are well worth the wait. His office staff is very helpful. Dr.Maddalon recently replaced my right knee...more

Bedside manner simply nil and void. I was told this doctor was a 5 start rated physician. Checking health grades and showing a 2....makes me think I may change my mind.

I have struggled with a knee injury for years and De Maddalon helped me find less invasive therapy with fantastic results. Also, the office staff is very efficient and friendly when I visit.
