Drove my mom almost 100 miles for her visit. The PA came into the room and the first thing he asked while shaking his head was I don't understand why you are here. Dr. Lacin came in and the same words came out of his mouth. Well I can say for sure we didn't just spit on the map and decide to pay you a visit. We came on a referral. Worst words to say to a very sick and confused patient. While Dr. Lacin may be a fine surgeon his office lacks bedside manner. This was a big waste of time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lacin's since 2012. I have had three recurrences of multiple herniated discs in the past six years. When alternative methods (steroid injections, chiropractic, physical therapy) were no longer effective at treating the constant pain, Dr. Lacin and his entire staff at Rex Neurosurgery went above and beyond to find the solution. I have had three lumbar microdiscectomies and all three of them were a complete success. I walked out of the hospital (same day) in no pain.

I was referred to Dr. Lacin from my primary care doctor stating he was one of the best. After I had an appointment with him I beg to differ. I brought my MRI Report and cd to my appointment and I really feel that he did not even look at them. He spent about 3 minutes in the room. He response was "I am a surgeon and you don't need surgery. You just have arthritis in your back. I will refer you to someone else." My MRI reports CLEARLY much more then arthritis. Not recommended at all

I could not have asked for a better experience! Dr. Lacin and his staff are the best of the best! I had a carpel tunnel release and a cyst removed in my wrist. After surgery, I received two calls asking how I was doing. One call was from Dr. Lacin! I was very impressed and would highly recommend Dr. Lacin (and his staff)!

Dr. Lacin repaired my disc herniation - it was done emergently as the condition came on suddenly and was threatening to cause permanent damage. Dr. Lacin and his PA are amazingly caring and responsive.

I would recommend Dr. Lacin for a microdiscectomy, NOT for a fusion. Dr. Lacin performed a lumbar fusion. 1 year and no relief. I was sent for multiple injections, told there was no identifiable reason for my pain, and that my bones were "definitely fused." Two other doctors, multiple scans, and a revision surgery clearly showed I was NOT fused. Furthermore, the hardware was not installed very well (it was loose). I believe Dr. Lacin cares for his patients, but get more opinions.

When we went for the first appt. he listened to my husband and explaned what he could do to help his back pain. He told us what he could help with and what he could not. Two weeks later and my husband had surgery and was pain free by the time we left the hospital two days later. Both he and his PA Kate were so easy to talk to, made you feel so comfortable. We will recommend him to friends and family.
