He is chronically late, as one of his patients it was not uncommon for him to be an hour or more late for each of my appointments. However he is the only psychiatrist within 50 miles of me that was both accepting my insurance and accepting patients.

Dr Herman honestly does take a bit of getting used to but when you get to know how he is he is actually a very nice guy.Like most highly intelligent people he tries to be funny and it can come off as a bit gruff. He is though an excellent doctor and i would recommend seeing him a few times before making an opinion. He is really great on getting back to you on the patient portal and so far i have had no issues getting into contact with him. His beside manner might seem a bit off but he is nice.

He should quit. He does not care. Not worth the effort.

I would not recommend Dr Herman or his staff. I had one visit with h and then wanted to switch to another psychiatrist in the office. I asked to do so and was told that they would ask the other DR if she was taking new patients. After they did this and was told she is not accepting new patients I was then told I could not see DR Herman any longer. So I paid $300 to see no DR in the office. I would never recommend them to anyone!

I would like to state for the record that Dr. Herman is quite possibly the most irresponsible doctor that I have ever worked with. Dr. Herman lacks both the bedside manner that comes with working with mental health, and even more worrisome is his lack of interest in his patients and his inability to bear responsibility of the medications that he prescribes.

Dr. Herman is determined to help his patients until they are feeling better emotionally, socially, productivity and physically. He is dedicated to providing effective long term solutions using whatever method, such as/or medically or therapeutically. He has great personal skills that provide his patients a safe and comfortable place to express themselves. He uses various methods to accumulate information on what they need and how that need is or is not effective. He really cares, 5 stars!
