Initial visit was great, and felt like he was going to really help. When it came to follow up after finding out I had SIBO, the doctor didn't return phone calls unless I called more than once, or even truly answered my questions once he did call. His bedside manner is atrocious. Also his nurse or secretary is so unfriendly! Information provided is not always right, and she doesn't even give him the messages all the time. When I told Dr. Gross he just brushed it off. No wonder they can act like that. Go somewhere else if you really want help.

I've been a patient of Dr. Gross for over 35 years! First as a GI doctor in my 20's because my primary doctor did not take my complaints seriously. (He said I was just nervous), He immediately performed an endoscopy and I had an ulcer! When I learned that Dr. Gross was also board certified in internal medicine I promptly switched to him as my primary doctor. My husband also sees Dr. Gross. A kinder, more compassionate and intelligent MD you'll never find. We LOVE Dr. Gross and you will too.

Dr. Robert A Gross, MD is a gem. He has a rare combination of traits that include being intelligent, patient, generous, caring, competent and thorough. He has a very high level of expertise, asks the right questions, explains his answers, and knows specific tests to order because he listens. Dr. Gross discovered a serious illness of which I was unaware, and because of his expertise and early diagnosis it was treatable and life saving. Thank you Dr. Gross for being among the best of the best.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Gross. I came in with a problem that was very scary to me, and he started the appointment being incredibly rude, patronizing, and rushed. He later admitted he was late for a colonoscopy (not my fault, I had an appointment), and when he did an exam on me he inserted a tool into my body without telling me first. It was horrifying. I cried in his office and the nurse had to comfort me. His follow up calls were just as awful. Do not recommend.

Dr. Gross is a caring and knowledgeable doctor. He takes the time to listen and methodically checks for all symptoms. He is a good communicator, explaining the illness and possible remedies. Most importantly, he is great with follow up. Dr. Gross is one of the rare number of doctors left, who still care about their patients health, more than they care about the dollars earned.
