Dr. Robert Dekker is a fantastic board certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in foot and ankle disorders. I broke my ankle 30 years ago and have had pain every day since then. When he recommended an ankle replacement I was quite nervous but glad to have the opportunity to reduce the pain. Once my surgery pain subsided, I didn't have any more pain in the foot or ankle. It is practically miraculous! I would not hesitate to have him take care of me in the future and definitely would recommend him to anyone needing this specialty! His staff at both offices were also great to work with.

Dr Dekker performed Achilles surgery for a torn tendon. Surgery was complicated because I had waited too long for a diagnosis. I am very happy with the outcome. Dr Dekker displayed a great deal of compassion and caring.

Terrible
I had a compound fracture in Florida. I made an appointment when I came home to Michigan because I was having some problems. He came in and put up my X-rays and said I was 100% healed. I said I was having problems with my knee etc. I wanted to know if he has other patients with problems stemming from a broken ankle. He said ask your knee doctor. He didn’t ask me, if I had any questions or was I having any other problems. He just wanted to leave. Seeing him was a total waste of time. My appointment visit was less then ten minutes.

Leg Pain
I had a great experience with Dr. Decker. I was referred to him for some leg pain. I had a bad fracture when I was in my teens. Turns out I had a spur growing from my tibia that was protruding into the muscle and it was causing a lot of pain and swelling in my leg. Everyone in the clinic was very professional. The surgery scheduler was great and made sure all the bases were covered prior to surgery. Highly recommend.

Professional
Front desk staff was terrible. I called from lobby and was told first come first serve on wheelchairs and it was up to me to find one! I even asked at the pharmacy if they had crutches for sale and they did not. Getting to the 4th floor from my vehicle was sheer disappointment! Called upstairs again and ONlY one person was kind and listened. She extended herself to bring a wheelchair downstairs to me in the lobby because I had no crutches and was in severe pain. First radiographer was arrogant and I refused her service. Dr. Dekker’s assistant was professional and listened well. Second radiology technician was much better. Dr. Dekker was kind and explained my issue well. Guy who fitted me for a boot and crutches was comforting. I did feel rushed and not welcomed.
