Dr Cowan is a brilliant spinal surgeon. His staff and NEOS all-around is the most infuriatingly apathetic medical practice in existence---the practice manager---aggressively rude, incompetent, cannot figure out how she has been kept in that position. Dr Cowan's weaknesses--follow up care--denial of visiting nurses for post surgical patients who live alone-unresponsive to need for pain meds-- his strength--reading films accurately. Skillful surgeon, his exams don't duplicate pain to diagnose.

Dr Cowan treats patients like they are beneath him and he ignores your major complaints when you have an injury. His lead nurse is exactly like him, very unprofessional. Cowan and his staff only care about what the insurance companies want and need, not the patients needs. Please look elsewhere for a competent doctor because there are several out there. NEOS is a large medical facility, hopefully not all of the Staff and Doctors are like this office.
