Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Cole "With hand and upper extremity injuries and disorders, making a quick and accurate diagnosis is paramount to optimal recovery. We do our best to allow direct access with same day OrthoStat appointments. This allows the patient to bypass the emergency room or general practice urgent care facility and appoint directly with a subspecialist. This allows a focused pathway to diagnosis, targeted treatment and healing. Not every patient needs physical therapy, surgery or specialized testing or imaging. Plain X-rays and an experienced exam can frequently produce an accurate diagnosis. When these other things are needed, a subspecialist the ideal person to coordinate in order to limit out of pocket expenses to the patient and to streamline recovery. Achieving the final outcome is a team effort. The OrthoMemphis Hand Center was carefully designed to offer maximal interaction between the patient, the treating physician and two dedicated hand therapists."
