Dr. Bruce was the third orthopaedic surgeon I went to regarding the pain and swelling in my knee. I fell in November, saw the first doc in Feb, the next in May and finally Dr. Bruce. None offered me any help and said to give it time. I was in pain with every step I walked. Stairs were horrible. He figured out I had a torn meniscus in a couple of minutes and ordered an MRI for confirmation. He did an arthroscopic repair a couple of weeks later with minimal anesthesia and no stitches (he used glue). There was no pain and I was up and walking unaided in 3 days. My knee no longer hurt! He was always kind and unassuming and I'm very grateful to have found him.

Dr Bruce was very impersonal and detached. He went through the exam steps protocol and then sent me on my way providing no feedback whatsoever about my condition. Sent me to get a pain shot - dismissed!!

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Bruce. I had a total knee replacement on my right knee. He did a great job on my surgery. I really was in very little pain. He was always very nice and answered all my questions. I heard all but great comments from other people I have talked to, meaning other dr.s and their associates. I will recommend him to anyone who needs his help. THANK YOU DR. ROBERT BRUCE.

NOT impressed by his expertise at all. For several decades I've had numerous doctors xray multiple joints and always been told every joint shows signs of arthritis. This doctor claims he saw "no evidence" of arthritis. Previous Orthopedics said my hip was bone on bone and needed to be replaced. These doctors I and others greatly trust. This doctor said, just bursitis & gave me a prescription for a medicine I should NOT take, ignoring my medical history.

My visit was for a one year check-up on a hip replacement. As far as I am concerned Dr. Bruce is the best Orthopedic Surgeon in the entire metro Kansas City area for either a hip or knee replacement. Dr. Bruce is kind, thorough and very personable. His appointments are timely. I would 100% recommend him.
