A word of awareness: Dr Bloomberg's office in Tempe AZ will not accept regularly accepted medical insurance if you are in a car wreck. Basically they deny care unless you have a claim number or cash up front for entire costs usually covered by medical insurance with copay. Don't bother going to them. Find a Dr that will still provide care for medical insurance even if you are in a wreck. Which is obviously when you need it most.

This is the worst dr's office ever. Dr. Bloomberg is a decent doctor but the office personnel and the number of patients he jams into one day make everything there a complete hassle. We always have to wait more than an hour to see the doctor. So we saw an NP, Sue, who was very nice but she doesn't know anything about anything. She messed up my husband's prescriptions. The folks who answer the phones are so rude and sound so unhappy. We will be switching drs ASAP!

Dr. Bloomberg looks surprised every time I see him....He doesn't know how great he is at keeping me alive....I insist that part of the reason I'm still alive is that I continue to use electronic cigarettes....Only the good die young, so I may outlive him....

Dr. Bloomberg is a highly regarded professional. My husband and I have been his patients for over 20 years. He has cared for our health and welfare during these years with excellence. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and takes a great deal of time with each patient. He conducts complete examinations, gives attention to detail, has excellent listening skills, and answers all questions. Because of his ability to recommend further study by specialists he has given us a longer and healthier lives.

He is a decent doctor but i feel like the meter is running while i'm with him because he books too many patients & thus he seems pre-occupied when talking with him. And by far my biggest complaint is the wait time. Even with an appointment you are waiting 2 hours MINIMUM!!!! It is easily a half day waste of sitting before even seeing him!!! His office staff complains about patients openly to where patients in the waiting room can hear them. They are not helpful.
in Chandler, AZ |
...Yes, you need to wait longer than you would like, BUT it is worth! Dr. Bloomberg and his assistant are one of the best I have had (and I am not very young ;) ).
in Tempe, AZ |
In my 56 years on earth, I have never had a better doctor. Dr. Bloomberg is a very wise and compassionate soul who thoroughly enjoys his calling. He is the best diagnostician, has the warmest bedside manner, and is the most thorough doctor I have ever been to. His office staff are the best. They have been with him for many years, so they are obviously happy with him too, as I am with them. Hard to get in; but if you can, you'll be very lucky to have such a good man caring for you.
in Chandler, AZ |
Dr. Bloomberg and his former partner, Dr Boles, are the two most amazing doctors I have ever had. He is thoughtful, incredibly competent and experienced, and he listens. He is willing to have me as a partner in my own health decisions. I have my 92 year old mother as his patient also and he is wonderful with her. He keeps focused on the primary goals in her care. My wife and her son are also patients and have the same respect for him. He spends the time needed so I don't feel bad about waiting.
in Gilbert, AZ |
Dr. B is fantastic; wait times are long, but he spends all the time you need with him. I've been a patient for probably over 20 years. He's an excellent diagnostician; keeps up with the latest in medical techniques and information; remembers you and your issues; is not shy about referring you if you need a specialist. Lack of good staff and long wait times are his only weaknesses but he is worth the wait if what you want are accurate information about your condition and results.
Tempe, AZ |
The only complaint is that I have had to wait 2-3 hours before I got to see him his staff is very rude and is not very nice to the patients. I am in the process of changing doctors because of his staff. He wanted to do a minor procedure and I refused do the fact that the office was not as clean as it used to be.
