Very awesome doctor was very attentive to my needs and concerns and did a very good job on my neck surgery. The only negative remark I have is when I was discharged from the hospital after surgery the prescription's I was sent home with I couldn't fill and since this was a Saturday I couldn't get a hold of anyone until Monday when everyone was back in office.

Dr. Bess is a very good listener. But the best part about him is that he hears me as well. My surgery wasnt the success I wished it had been. But Dr. Bess and his staff have been here and continues to be here. So grateful and thankful for our friendship.

Dr. Bess recently performed major corrective realignment surgery of my spine, after three failed surgeries performed by other surgeons 10 -13 years ago. Dr. Bess' skill is exceptional, as is his (& his entire staff & team's) professionalism, expertise, & personal care. The nurses, staff and doctors care at Spalding Rehab (also part of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center) was also excellent.

I am grateful that my doctor referred me to Dr. Bess to perform my cervical spinal fusion for a severely herniated disc. Dr. Bess is respectful, thorough, and very empathetic to the pain I was experiencing. He actually worked until 11:00pm one night so he could get me into surgery early because I was experiencing such horrible pain. I will always be grateful for the high level of compassion and professionalism that Dr. Bess has shown me. I highly recommend him if you are in need of a spinal surgeon.

Dr. Bess is a very good spinal surgeon. He took the time to explain what I needed to know to prepare for my surgery. He answered all of my concerns. I had been in pain for over ten years and the medication I was taking caused other physical problem, silent strokes and heart problems. I also had nerve damage to my left thigh which can not be repaired but if I didn’t do something I would eventually be dragging my left leg and that could not be repaired once it happened. He explained all the things that would happen after the surgery so I was comfortable and not surprised by what I went through with my recovery. I am very thankful to Dr Bess and his staff it is so nice not to be in pain this last year and I no longer take pain medication which is wonderful and my body is healing everywhere. I would recommend Dr Bess who really wants to make the changes needed to be pain free without medicines.

Dr. Bess is the man in Denver. Last year I was seriously injured after being on the receiving end of a high speed MVA and my new vehicles safety features failed. I had numerous torn discs and vertebrate touching my spinal cord. Luckily my neurologist refered me to Dr Bess’ group! Every single medical doctor that I see asserts they would personally see Dr. Bess should they require a neurosurgeon. Not only is he highly competent and well respected but is incredibly kind. You’re in the best hands!

I found the practice at Denver International Spine Center (DISC) to be very professional beginning with setting the appointment, checking me in upon arrival, and answering all my questions. Dr. Bess himself was attentive to my needs, providing a diagnosis and recommended next steps in a way that I fully understood. Overall, a very positive "5-Star" visit.
