If you are in chronic pain, please do yourself a favor and try any other doctor. My experience with Dr. Benson is horrible. I have suffered from CRPS for over 20 years, and recently moved to Florida. The Ramon Center came highly recommended, and I want to give them a try. Dr. Bensons exam was excruciatingly painful. He barked at me when it took me too long to get back to my chair. Then he barked at me and said, "Why do you use a cain with CRPS?" I told him my leg muscles are weak and when I am in that much pain, I can barely walk, and have broken my wrist falling, so I used a cain to balance myself. He said, "OH, OK" in a sarcastic way. He didn't bother to look at the swelling on my leg at all. He basically told me he wouldn't do what the other doctors in the past have done due to my age (I am tooo young." Screw that, what does age have to do with Chronic Pain? He prescribed drugs that have not worked in the past, and is suggesting a risky SCS. Nope, didn't work before.
